We collect as little as we can and we tell you what happens to it. If anything below isn't clear, email support@worldoftwelve.nl and we'll explain it in plain words.

Who is responsible

World of Twelve, Tweede Willemstraat 18, 9725 JJ Groningen, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce 42031111. We are the controller of your personal data.

What we collect and why

When you order. Your name, email, delivery address, billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. We need this to make and deliver your order, and to handle returns. Legal basis: performing our contract with you. We keep order records for seven years because Dutch tax law requires it.

Your payment. Handled by Mollie. We see that a payment succeeded and the details needed to refund you. We never see or store your full card or bank details. Legal basis: performing our contract.

When you subscribe to our emails. Your email address and the date you gave permission. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, and we keep the record of your consent so we can show it was given.

When you visit the site. Pages viewed, what you put in your basket, your approximate location from your IP address, and your device and browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the store is used, and your consent where cookies require it. Kept for two years.

When you email us. Whatever you write to us, kept as long as we need it to help you and to handle any follow-up.

Some of these process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular Klaviyo, whose account holding our email list is hosted in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent approved mechanism.

We don't sell your data. We don't trade it. We don't hand it to advertisers.

Cookies

The store uses cookies that make it work at all, such as keeping your basket between pages. Those we set without asking, because without them there is no shop.

Anything beyond that, including analytics and anything used for advertising, runs only if you agree. You can change your mind through the cookie settings on our site.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, hand it over in a portable form, restrict what we do with it, or object to us processing it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.

Email support@worldoftwelve.nl. We reply within one working day and act within one month.

If you think we've handled your data badly, tell us first and we'll fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Children

Our store isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect data about anyone under 16. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

Our site runs over an encrypted connection and our providers hold their own security certifications. No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects you, we tell you rather than wait for you to find out.

Changes

We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top tells you when we last did.
