Our story

About World of Twelve

World of Twelve is a sustainable fashion brand with a purpose beyond clothing. Named after SDG 12, the global goal for responsible consumption and production, we exist to prove that a fashion brand can be built differently. Consciously sourced, ethically produced and designed to last.

We start with garments. Over time we want to build something bigger: an ecosystem where we control our own supply chain, support the people behind our materials and use every drop to drive real change. Not just in what we sell, but in how fashion works.

We only say what we can prove. If you have a question about how something is made, where it comes from or what it costs: ask. We will answer directly.

Our story

Founder story

My name is Marco Algra. I am 30, based in the Netherlands, and I believe clothing is never just clothing. Every piece is a decision about raw materials, about the people who made it and about how much the planet can sustain. I started World of Twelve because I want to build a brand that takes that seriously. Not as a marketing angle but as the foundation everything is built on.

The goal is bigger than a tee. It is to build a world around responsible consumption. A community that proves that what you wear can reflect what you believe. A supply chain that is fully transparent. A brand that grows slowly and honestly until the way we do things becomes the standard, not the exception. We are at the beginning of that. Every drop is a step further.

01

Planet. Protect what you use.

Every material has a cost. Water, land, energy, carbon. We take that cost seriously from the moment we choose a fabric to the moment a garment ships. That means certified organic materials, conscious manufacturers and production runs sized to what is actually needed and nothing more.

Over time we want to go further. Sourcing our own certified materials. Building a supply chain we can stand behind at every step. Working toward a fully circular model where what we make stays in use rather than ending up in landfill.

02

People. Respect the hands behind every piece.

Fashion runs on invisible labour. We refuse to build on that. Every manufacturer we work with is chosen for their values and their working conditions. We build direct relationships with the people producing our garments and we will name them publicly as those relationships deepen and certifications are confirmed.

The bigger vision is to use World of Twelve as a platform that genuinely supports the people behind our supply chain. Not just fair wages in production, but programmes that create long-term opportunity for the communities we work with.

03

Community. Build something bigger than a brand.

We build in public. We share the process, the setbacks and the decisions. We publish what we spend, what we earn and what we are working toward. Because the people who follow this journey are not just customers. They are the reason it matters and the reason it grows.

Where we are going

The foundation is selling garments made right. But the goal is an ecosystem. Our own supply chain. Circular take-back initiatives. Programmes that support the communities behind our materials. A brand that uses every drop to drive real change, not just in what it sells, but in how fashion works. We are building this without investors. Every drop funds the next step. Slowly, deliberately and on our own terms.
